What I love about winter

Sharing is caring

I realize not everyone likes winter. As a child I read a book about a poor little girl. One scene is set where she and her cat sat on the windowsill in the sun on one winter’s day. I have this image in my head when I think about winter: tranquil and peaceful. Another image I have is the family together in front of the fireplace with flames dancing in the cold.
As you can see I love everything many things about winter… except my children being sick for weeks at a time.

With the change of seasons there were also a few changes on Mom Making Memories.

The first thing is that we held our first Acornkids giveaway on the blog. We used Rafflecopter to enter the giveaway and also to pick a random winner. Congratulations to S Webb!

Our new Afrikaans category is growing slowly but surely with the following two posts: voordele van my kinders se kleuterskool, en voordele van Suid-Afrika.

In the French Fridays series you can join me for a view of the Eiffel Tower at night, my search for paintings to buy and a lazy afternoon, and exploring the Panthéon, Grande Arch and the view from the Arc de Triomphe. This series will end in July with fireworks at the Eiffel Tower on Bastille day. Don’t miss it!

I am trying to be more positive and see the good in everything, so with this in mind you can read about the advantages of my children’s créche and 10 great things about South Africa.
