Most people know a supermom… almost like the one Solomon describes in Proverbs 31.
I know a woman like that too, a colleague of mine. She became my friend and I call her Wonderwoman behind her back because she is just amazing.
This lady is a mother of two children (like me). Her house is clean and organized (my house was clean yesterday, I think). Her husband used to work very long, unpredictable hours and night after night she would have a home-cooked dinner ready for him (I try that now, healthy lifestyle), had the kids clean and in bed (I would be so lucky that they both sleep at the same time), and washed the dishes (apparently washing the dishes can be therapeutic).
At work she does more than what she is supposed to, never complains and is always friendly and helpful.
Her hair is always done and pretty and her make-up perfect.
As if this is not enough she also mows the lawn and still makes time for their family and friends over weekends.
It seems her 24 hours a day are more than mine if I see what she accomplishes during that time.
After Number One joined our family and our Little Captain is still not sleeping through I asked her one day how she is doing it… coping with everything.
Here are her 4 tips to survive everyday life:
- The first thing you need is strength from God.
- You have to make time for yourself to do something that you enjoy… even for only a short time.
- Don’t be afraid to ask for help, it doesn’t make you a bad mom.
- Know that you are already the perfect mom for your children. God gave them to you, because He knew you will do a great job.
I hope you found the tips from this supermom helpful.
