Our baby’s first painting

Sharing is caring

I recently saw a post from Cindy Alfino at www.3kids2dogsand1oldhouse.co.za about a tradition they did when their children turned one… letting them make their first paintings!

On weekends we try to make the best with the time we have available, and we decided this tradition will add quality to our time spent together.

We put everything together before introducing our little Picasso to his canvas.

Step 1

Step 2

Step 3
I want to say he started hesitantly, but he discovered his love for the paint within seconds and soon everything was becoming a big green blob.

Step 4

Step 5

The quicker we added new colors the quicker he rubbed and mixed it into the paint.

Final product

Our baby loved it! He was so excited while painting and cried when we picked him up when it was done.

One suggestions I might add is not to put green, yellow and blue paint together (as yellow and blue makes green). We didn’t think about that but we are still satisfied with the outcome.
